Wet paintings arrive this week at the new Trailhead Museum

The Board of Directors of the Abita Springs Trailhead Museum has created an elegant evening for all you art lovers.

AbitaBrewPub-PhilSandusky

Friday evening is the free, opening reception for our En Plein Air exhibit.  Every year, some paintings arrive still wet, filled with the beauty and vibrancy of the nature that surrounds us here in south Louisiana.  The air Friday night will be crisp and clear.  We want you to share in this experience with us at our newly renovated museum.

Tony Green & Gypsy Jazz will perform.   Scrumptious food and drinks will be served with catering by the Abita Springs Cafe.

28 artists are expected to participate including Auseklis Ozols, Carol Hallock, Louis Morales, Peg Usner, John Preble, Phil Sandusky, Billy Solitario, Peggy Hesse, Julia Rubin, Gus Hoffman, Pax Bobrow, Oksana Fogg, Renee Mitchell, Mary Monk, Don Rhodes, Claude Ellender, Diego Larguia, Judy Newman, Ben Bensen III, Denise Bourgeois, Garth Swanson, Judy Merrell, Alix Travis, Anne Pappas, Steve Bourgeois, Ferris Hotard, Robin Durand, and Tony Green.

The four-day exhibition continues on Saturdays and Sundays 10am - 4pm April 8, 9, 15, and 16 (that's Easter) only.  Most artwork pricing will range from approximately $300 to $2000.  30% of each sale goes directly to the Museum.  Please help us support the Museum and your local artists!

Many thanks to Ron Blitch for his oversight and generosity in bringing this event to fruition.
